Privacy Policy

This policy applies to passbion.com (the "site"), operated as Passbion ("we", "us"). It takes effect on October 1, 2026.

Information you enter into calculators

Loan amounts, rates, balances and every other figure you type into a calculator are processed only by code running in your own browser. They are not transmitted to us, stored on our servers or linked to you. When you download a schedule as a CSV file, the file is created on your device. Closing or reloading the page clears your inputs.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. These server logs are used to deliver the site, keep it secure, diagnose errors and prevent abuse, and are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how visitors find them. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) and receives the page address, the referring page, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not send calculator inputs to Google Analytics, and we use the reports only in aggregate. Whether it runs depends on your cookie choices, described below.

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to fix any problem you report, and we don't add you to a mailing list.

Advertising and cookies

The site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info or through the Network Advertising Initiative, and in Europe at youronlinechoices.eu.

Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your choices and location.

Your cookie choices

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or your browser hides its time zone, we ask before using analytics or advertising cookies. Until you agree, Google Analytics and AdSense either don't load or run without cookies. Elsewhere they load by default. Wherever you are, you can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page; withdrawing consent also deletes the Google Analytics cookies on this site.

We remember your choice in your browser's local storage for up to six months, then ask again. It isn't sent to us.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculators work fully without cookies.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including in California and other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws and in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Because advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" under some state laws, you can opt out using the advertising choices above or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Because we don't store calculator inputs or create accounts, we usually hold no personal information about visitors beyond short-lived server logs and any emails you send. To make a request, email hello@passbion.com.

Children

The site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our articles link to government agencies and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Because calculator inputs never leave your device, they can't be exposed by a breach of our systems.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its "Last updated" date. Material changes will be described at the top of the page.
